Sara Lewis (Trombone)
Sara Lewis is an active freelancer in the New York City metro area. A native of Orlando, Sara holds degrees in trombone performance from Indiana University and Manhattan School of Music. As a soloist, Sara has been a prize-winner in many international solo competitions. She has performed with The Florida Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, Palm Beach Opera Orchestra, Walt Disney's TubaFours, Skif Dank (a punk/ska band), Florida West Coast Symphony and was 2nd trombone of the Southwest Florida Symphony. Sara is currently 2nd trombonist with the Westchester Chamber Symphony, a principal member of The Gothic Brass, and is manager of the Opera On Tap Orchestra. Sara is also the accounting & office manager for Idealist.org, a website that helps people turn intentions into action and find job opportunities within the non-profit sector.
